1995 CHEVROLET PICKUP WITH 55,000 MILES DEVELOPED A NOISE IN THE STEERING AND I COULD FEEL VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL AND FLOOR OF VEHICLE. A LOCAL MECHANIC ISOLATED THE PROBLEM TO BE LOOSE STEERING COLUMN. THE PROBLEM APPEARED TO AN APPARENT LOOSE BUSHING UNDER THE DASH. THE MECHANIC SEARCHED THE NHTSA SAFETY RECALL LIST AN NOTICED IT MAY BE A FACTORY RECALL AND RECOMMENDED I TAKE IT TO A DEALER. THE GM DEALER INDICATED THE WAS A RECALL FOR THESE 95/96 GM PICKUPS BUT IT DID NOT INCLUDE MY VEHICLE VIN NUMBER. MY VIN IS [XXX].
