The throttle tends to be a little jerky at low RPMs in slow speeds
During low-to-moderate throttle input within approximately the 3500-5000 RPM range, moderate-to-severe throttle hesitation occurs when required to increase throttle input. This causes a chugging, struggling, stuttering, misfiring feeling and very delayed response from the vehicle. This has occurred while cruising on city streets and lower speed highways while trying to evade a quickly approaching vehicle from behind that could have resulted in a rearend collision. The vehicle was recently inspected by a certified CFMOTO dealership for its first service following the break-in period recommended by the manufacturer. The dealership confirmed that it was a known issue but found no obvious condition that would cause this throttle problem. No warning lamps or messages have been displayed on the motorcycle.
This model motorcycle is know to have a throttle issue when in any gear and any driving mode. Holding the throttle open/steady between 3500-5000 RPM and maintaining speed the Throttle/RPM's will start to shutter/jerk. The Non NA/US models of this vehicle have an update that fixes this issue. Many of the US/NA owners have complained about this issue but haven't gotten any update/information from the manufacturer and have been told there's no plan for an update for our model. This is a safety concern as it can cause inadvertent acceleration causing an accident resulting in damage, injury, and possible death.
Motorcycle suffers from "jerky throttle", causing inconsistent acceleration or deceleration without throttle input. This has resulted in near collisions with two vehicles. Issue presents itself more prominently in RPM ranges of 4,000 or below. High RPM jerkiness is still present but less impactful. The manufacturer has been contacted and is aware that the problem is widespread.
