My airbag is defective and other vin numbers on my make and model and year were recalled and mine hasn’t and doesn’t work. Light still remains on. I have low mileage on my car too. Please do a recall on my airbag for my vin. I also have replaced my Cue system twice already . My model vin hasn’t been recalled for that either. I should be reimbursed for having to keep on replacing it.
STARTED MY CAR ONE DAY AND THE CUE SCREEN WAS BLACK AND UNRESPONSIVE. I DO NOT HAVE ANY FEATURES NEEDED TO FEEL SAFE IN MY CAR (BACK UP SCREEN, RADIO, BLUETOOTH, NAVIGATION, AIR CONDITIONING, TEMPERATURE CONTROL, ETC.)
THE CUE SCREEN CRACKED AND NO LONGER FUNCTIONS.
AS I WAS DRIVING MY SCREEN WENT BLANK WHILE I WAS USING MY NAVIGATION SYSTEM TO GET AROUND AND ENDED UP BEING LOST AND HAD TO STOP AND ASK FOR DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO GET BACK HOME. THE CUE SYSTEM WENT DOWN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CADILLAC ATS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TOUCH SCREEN FAILED TO OPERATE AS NEEDED. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH DELAWARE CADILLAC (1606 PENNSYLVANIA AVE, WILMINGTON, DE 19806) WHERE THEY OFFERED HER NO ASSISTANCE. THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED AN ESTIMATE FOR THE REPAIR, BUT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REPAIR WAS NOT GUARANTEED TO FIX THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
MY CADILLAC QUE SYSTEM IS COMPLETELY UNRESPONSIVE AND DELAMINATED. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE 2014 CADILLAC ATS. THE SCREEN ON THE QUE HAS BEEN COMPLETELY FROZEN AND DELAMINATED FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW AND I AM UNABLE TO USE ANY FEATURES WITH MY QUEUE. THIS HAPPENS IF THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION OR AT A STOP THE QUEUE IS JUST GONE.
54,189 MILES ON CAR CURRENTLY. SINCE JUNE OF 2019 MY CAR/ENGINE WILL COMPLETELY SHUT OFF AT A RED LIGHT, OR A COMING TO A STOP SIGN (BASICALLY COMPLETELY STOPPED OR COMING TO A STOP). ITS EVEN SHUT OFF WHILE IN REVERSE. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE GEAR IS STILL IN DRIVE. SO I THEN HAVE TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK,PRESS THE BRAKE AND START IT AGAIN. IT SPUTTERS TO START AGAIN, BUT IT STARTS. ITS GETTING MORE FREQUENT, WITH IT STOPPING UP TO 3 TIMES AT ONE STOP LIGHT, AND THEN HAVING TO RESTART IT AGAIN. THERE ARE NO CODES ON THE DASH. IVE BROUGHT MY CAR INTO CREST CADILLAC MULTIPLE TIMES TO TRY AND DIAGNOSE THIS ISSUE. THEY CANNOT FIND THE ROOT CAUSE, AND IT STILL HAPPENING MOST RECENTLY TODAY! THERE IS A NEW BATTERY, ALTERNATOR TESTING IN GOOD CONDITION. THEY HAVE TESTED THE BATTERY CABLES/LINES. THIS IS INCREDIBLY...
CUE DASHBOARD CONSOLE SCREEN KEEPS CRACKING AND BECOMING INOPERABLE. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED IN 4 YEARS. THE FIRST TIME IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY, THIS SECOND TIME IT IS NOT.
DASH CONTROL UNIT STOP WORKING AND OVER HEATER
THE CUE INFORTAINMENT SYSTEM IS FAULTY. BESIDES CONTROLLING THE RADIO FUNCTIONS, IT CONTROLS THE BLUETOOTH AND AC SETTINGS. THE SCREEN FREEZES ALL THE TIME AND BLUETOOTH IS DROPPING OR PAUSING THE CALLS CREATING SAFETY HAZARDS WHILE DRIVING. IN GEORGIA IS ILLEGAL TO TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE DRIVING BUT BECAUSE THIS FAULT IN THE CUE SCREEN A CADILLAC OWNER HAS TO TOUCH THE PHONE TO UNBLOCK OR UNMUTE THE CALL. IT IS A VERY KNOWN DEFECT ON MULTIPLE CADILLAC VEHICLES, CADILLAC IS AWARE OF IT BUT REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING TO FIX IT
THE CAR IS UNDER FULL FACTORY WARRANTY. IT HAS BEEN TO THE CADILLAC DEALER 6 TIMES FOR THE SAME ISSUE. THE CADILLAC ATS HAS ADAPTIVE FORWARD LIGHTING AND THE HEADLIGHTS RANDOMLY WILL NOT PROPERLY ALIGN WHICH CAUSES POOR VISIBILITY, OFTEN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE MISALIGNMENT DOES NOT ALWAYS OCCUR DURING FIRST START UP, AND CAN OCCUR DURING HIGHWAY TRAVEL. THE HEADLIGHT FAILURES CONSIST OF EITHER HEADLIGHT POINTING UP AND SOMETIMES BOTH HEADLIGHTS POINT UPWARD SO MUCH THAT THE HIGHWAY IS DIFFICULT TO SEE. I HAVE BEEN FORCED TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AND SHUT THE CAR DOWN, OPEN THE DOOR AND THEN RESTART THE VEHICLE. I HAVE ALSO ENCOUNTERED BOTH HEADLIGHTS POINTING DOWNWARD, CAUSING VERY POOR HIGHWAY VISIBILITY. THE ADAPTIVE FORWARD LIGHTING SYSTEM HAS FAILED ON MANY CADILLAC VEHICLES AS A SEARCH ON ANY CADILLAC FORUM WILL ATTEST. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REFLASHED THE HEADLIGHT CONTROLLER, REPLACED THE...
THE CAR FAILS TO AUDIBLY INDICATE TO THE DRIVER THAT THE TURNING SIGNALS HAVE BEEN ENGAGED. INSTEAD OF A CLICK, CHIME, OR OTHER INDICATOR, THERE IS SILENCE. THE RESULT IS THAT THE DRIVER DOES NOT HAVE FEEDBACK FROM THE VEHICLE INDICATING / VERIFYING THAT THAT A TURN SIGNAL HAS BEEN ENGAGED. THE DRIVER MAY BECOME DISTRACTED AND MAY NOT KNOW WHEN/IF A TURN SIGNAL HAS BEEN TRIGGERED. THE TURN SIGNAL INDICATOR SEEMS TO BE CONNECTED TO THE RADIO SYSTEM. THUS, WHEN THE RADIO SYSTEM FAULTS (WHICH OFTEN OCCURS ON THIS MODEL), THESE TURN SIGNAL INDICATORS ALSO FAIL. THE FAILURE WILL OCCUR RANDOMLY WHEN STATIONARY AND DRIVING AT SURFACE AND HIGHWAY SPEEDS.
STATED RECALL WAS TO "REPAIR" THE AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF OF THE REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER/DEFROSTER. IT WAS SUPPOSEDLY RESOLVED BY DEACTIVATING THE SHUT OFF MECHANISM. SUPPOSEDLY, IF THE AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF DID NOT ACTIVATE, THE CONTACTS COULD FAIL AND THERE COULD BE A FIRE. MY CONCERN IS WHAT HAPPENS NOW IF I FORGET TO SHUT OFF THE DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER. IN THE MANUAL IT SAYS THE SYSTEM WAS TIMED FOR A SET TIME, THEN WOULD SHUT OFF. THEN THE AUTOMATIC CONTROL SUPPOSEDLY WOULD TURN THE DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER BACK ON BUT FOR A SHORTER INTERVAL. TO ME THAT MEANS, THE TIME FACTOR IS IMPORTANT AND PROBABLY WAS THERE TO PREVENT A FIRE. MY CONTACT WITH GM'S SERVICE CENTER HAD A NUMBER OF REQUESTS IN PRIORITY ORDER. THOSE FURTHER DOWN MY LIST WERE WILD IDEAS TO PUT MY MIND TOTALLY AT REST ABOUT DRIVING SUCH A CAR. NONE OF MY REQUESTS WERE GRANTED. BELOW ARE IN PRIORITY...
MY 2014 CADILLAC ATS WAS RECALLED DUE TO FAULTY AUTO REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO LOCAL CADILLAC DEALER AND THEY DISCONNECTED THE AUTO DEFOGGER. THEY SAID THAT THIS WAS THE FIX ORDERED BY GM. I CAN NOW OPERATE MY REAR DEFOGGER MANUALLY ONLY. MY AUTO OPTION NO LONGER WORKS. I CALLED GM TO SEE IF THEY WOULD REIMBURSE ME FOR TAKING AWAY MY USE OF THIS FEATURE IN MY CAR. THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT. GM STATED THAT THIS WAS A PERMANENT FIX FOR THIS FAULTY FEATURE WAS TO DISCONNECT IT. SO IF YOU CAN LOOK INTO THIS MATTER IF WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. GM SHOULD REPAIR THE FAULTY PART OR REIMBURSE ALL WHO ARE AFFECTED BY THIS RECALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CADILLAC ATS. WHILE IDLING, THE VEHICLE'S BACK-UP CAMERA FLICKERED ON AND OFF AND THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE SEAT FRACTURED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED OR DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,662.
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR AT ABOUT 15 TO 20 MILES AN HOUR THE CAR CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. THERE WAS A TOTAL SHUT DOWN OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THE EMERGENCY BLINKERS COULD NOT BE ENGAGED, THE CAR COULD NOT BE SHIFTED. THE CAR WAS TOWED INTO THE SHOP, THE DEALER ADVISED ME THE ENGINE FAILED AND A NEW ENGINE WAS PUT INTO THE CAR BY THE DEALER. WE HAVE OWNED THE CAR FOR TWO MONTHS. *TR
