The contact owns a 2024 Buick Envision. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed and became stuck under the floor liner. The contact depressed the brake pedal to stop the vehicle however, the vehicle failed stop as needed. The contact pressed the park button and turned the vehicle off. The contact stated that the engine was smoking. The contact and her husband then exited the vehicle. The contact stated that it was a very scary moment due to the failure. The contact inspected the vehicle and confirmed that the accelerator pedal was stuck under the floor liner. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a defective floor liner.
