I bought a used 2023 Buick Envision with 49k miles on it. It was not covered under warranty due to mileage. A couple of weeks after purchase the CEL came on. It was originally diagnosed as a bad battery. It was later diagnosed as a failed Telematics Module. I had the module replaced on 8/23/25 so it is not available for inspection unless the dealer has it. After reading many complaints for the same problem on many different GM cars I suspect the bad battery had been drained by the failing Telematics module. Although it did not happen to me directly others have reported the car dying in the middle of the road because the battery died. The car has only been inspected by two dealerships since my purchase. I am reporting this because there are so many others facing this problem. I live in Los Angeles and my dealership...
