Recall 05V401000 — POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY

Defect: ON CERTAIN DUMP, EQUIPMENT HAULERS AND HYDRAULIC TILT TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH GLOBAL DIRECT COMPONENTS (GDC) AXLES, THE WELD WHICH FASTENED THE AXLE SPINDLE TO THE AXLE TUBE WAS IMPROPERLY WELDED.
Consequence: THE SPINDLE COULD SEPARATE FROM THE AXLE TUBE CAUSING THE WHEEL AND TIRE TO SEPARATE FROM THE TRAILER INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: BRI-MAR IS WORKING WITH GDC TO NOTIFY OWNERS AND HAVE THE AXLES REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT YET PROVIDED AN OWNER NOTIFICATION SCHEDULE. OWNERS MAY CONTACT BRI-MAR AT 717-709-2009.
