Defect: BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling one model year 2017 BMW X3 xDrive 28i vehicle manufactured on June 7, 2016. This vehicle has electronic power steering (EPS), and the contact pins on the EPS control unit may not have been welded properly resulting in increased resistance.
Consequence: An increase in pin contact resistance can increase the risk of a fire, even while the vehicle is parked and ignition is off.

I have an open recall on my vehicle that has not yet been repaired, and I’ve reached out to BMW multiple times and still haven’t received a letter from them regarding this Recall! If the vehicle can potentially catch fire then why would they think this isn’t a priority due to safety concerns!!!!
NHTSA Recall Number24V608 It is been a year already and there is no remedy available for the recall yet. Scheduled multiple appointments with dealer and they don't have a remedy yet. I am concerned to drive the vehicle as i drive daily and can feel excessive heating in engine.
