Consequence: The darker windscreen can inhibit the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: BMW will notify owners, and dealers will replace the windscreen, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin May 10, 2018. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN REPAIRED THE VEHICLE UNDER THE RECALL; HOWEVER, WHILE IN PARK, THE KICKSTAND FRACTURED FROM THE FRAME OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO A DEALER BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
