Defect: THE FILLER CAPS WHICH HAVE RELIEF PRESSURE VALVES INCORPORATED MAY ALLOW PRESSURE BUILD-UP IN THE GAS TANK. THIS PRESSURE MAY BE GREATER THAN THE CLOSING PRESSURE OF THE FLOAT VALVE IN THE CARBURETOR, WHICH COULD CAUSE OVERFLOODING.
Remedy: DEALER WILL MODIFY THE GAS CAP TO PREVENT PRESSURE BUILD-UP, AT NO COST TO THE OWNER.
