All Forward Collision Avoidance Automatic Emergency Braking Complaints
BMW issued a recall for several series including the BMW 760i x drive citing missing parts to the braking system which could cause the emergency braking and brakes to fail. The recall was issued 10 months ago. This was before I purchased the car. I did not receive a recall notice until a month ago. They did not disclose the recall at the time of the sale of the vehicle. I drove the car for 5 months before being notified. Before I received the recall notice I noticed some issues with the braking taking longer to stop. I then received the recall and contacted the dealer to fix the recall. They said they had not received authorization to fix the recall from BMW. I have not driven the car for fear of the brakes failing for over a month since I received the recall notice. This is a $146,000 car....
