Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V586000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was diagnosed by an independent mechanic with needing the high-pressure fuel pump replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 91,000.
