THERE HAVE ALREADY BEEN ACCIDENTS INVOLVING A TRUCK ROLLING BACKWARDS DUE TO THIS PROBLEM AND SOMEONE IS EVENTUALLY GOING TO BE HURT OR KILLED.*DT CONSUMER STATED I HAVE SPOKEN WITH SOMEONE AT MY FACILITY THAT HAS ACCESS TO INFORMATION REGARDING JUST HOW MANY TRUCKS IN THE FLEET THAT ARE KNOWN TO HAVE THESE PROBLEMS.*JB*DT*TR*DT CONSUMER UPDATE STILL HAVING ISSUES WITH PEDAL SEVERAL TIMES A DAY.*JB
OUR ENTIRE NEW FLEET OF TRUCKS, TO MY KNOWLEDGE, HAVE A SEVERE STALLING ISSUE. WHILE WORKING FROM THE WORK SIDE OF THE VEHICLE, THE ENGINE STALLS OUT DOWN TO IDLE WHILE UNDER ANY LEVEL OF THROTTLE. THIS CAN HAPPEN IN A SINGLE INSTANCE OR SEVERAL BACK TO BACK, CAUSING AN IMMANENT THREAT WHEN THE VEHICLE ROLLS BACKWARDS ON A SLOPE OR LOOSES STEERING ABILITY BECAUSE THE STALL IS SOMETIMES SO BAD THAT IT KILLS THE ENGINE ALTOGETHER. MANAGEMENT HAD BEEN INFORMED AND HAS SEEMINGLY REFUSED TO TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION. THIS ISSUE CONTINUES TO WORSEN AND THE FLEET IS ONLY 7 MONTHS OR SO OLD.
