2019 AUDI A6 Forward Collision Avoidance Warnings Problems

Electrical malfunction warning. Steering wheel got tight. Transmission failure warning. Then the the car began to stop. all types of various warnings were popping up on the heads up display. It is in the process of getting taken to the nearest dealer.

Received a message for "Electrical System Failure" and drove ok at first but began receiving failure messages for various systems including but not limited to Start/Stop system, transmission, power steering, and crash avoidance systems. Soon after the entertainment and comfort system screens went blank followed by the dash screen and the car eventually just turned off as I was trying to find a safe place to pull over. Safety was put a risk as I was stranded on a busy road with no shoulder and because the battery was impacted my hazard lights only lasted a short time which left me and my vehicle exposed on the side of the road. The car was towed to the dealer (Audi of Albany) who inspected determined the failure was related to a faulty ignition generator. My wife was travelling on the interstate at about 75 mph, when all of the dash lights flashed in red that there was an electrical system failure. At this time, while driving in the fast lane, it seemed like all systems including steering and power brakes failed. She managed to make it across four lanes of traffic before the car died completely. Once we got the car towed to the dealership, they informed us that it was a failure with the 48V generator and that it would be at least 2 months to fix the problem because the part was on back order. It has now been 2 and a half months, so I called the dealership and they told me they have 31 of these to change and my car is still a few weeks away from be repaired.

I was driving on the interstate when the vehicle gave a warning saying "electrical system malfunction, contact dealership". I went to the dealership as I was within a couple of miles and they said it could be many things and they would need to evaluate it the following week. I left with the car and attempted to drive it back the following week on the scheduled appointment. The vehicle did not make it back to the dealership. While driving on the interstate back to the dealership, a message saying, "Electrical system failure, safely exit roadway" came on. I was able to exit off the interstate immediately into a parking lot. ON SUNDAY FEBRUARY 21, 2021 AT ABOUT 330PM ON RT 30 IN AMSTERDAM NY WE WERE DRIVING IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC LESS THAN 30MPH. AS THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME STARTED TO SLOW IN TRAFFIC I STARTED TO BRAKE MY A6, AT ABOUT 20MPH AND ABOUT 1.5 CAR LENGTHS BEHIND THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME THE AUDI PRESENSE COLLISION WARNING SCREEN ACTIVATED WITH A RED SCREEN IN THE DRIVER'S CLUSTER AND A "CHIME" THE CAR THEN WENT INTO EMERGENCY COLLISION STOPPING MODE...CAR'S ANTILOCK BRAKES ACTIVATED BRINGING MY CAR TO A COMPLETE STOP IN TRAFFIC. TRAFFIC IN FRONT OF ME NEVER STOPPED AND I WAS AT A DISTANCE THAT I HAD COMPLETE CONTROL OF MY CAR WITH MORE THAN ENOUGH DISTANCE TO SLOW OR STOP MY CAR SAFELY. AUGUST 25, 2020 TRAVELING WB ON I-90 [MASS TURNPIKE] PASSING AND 18 WHEEL TRACTOR TRAILER WITH AN UNMARKED WHITE BOX TRAILER. TRUCK 'WEAVED' TO THE LEFT INTO MY DRIVING LANE AS I WAS OVERTAKING IT. I SWERVED TO THE LEFT TO AVOID CONTACT OF MY 2019 AUDI A6 PREMIUM PLUS AT ABOUT THE A PILLAR AND THE REAR WHEEL AREA OF THE BOX TRAILER. IN MY EVASIVE ACTION THE CAR'S LANE KEEPING ASSISTANT ACTIVATED AS I WAS ABOUT TO CROSS THE LINES ON MY LEFT SIDE TO AVOID THE TRUCK, THE CAR TOOK CONTROL OF THE STEERING AND AGGRESSIVELY STEERING THE CAR BACK AT THE TRACTOR TRAILER. I BRAKED THE CAR AS HARD I COULD TO AVOID COLLISION WITH THE BOX TRAILER.
