Defect: ALTEC IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 1993-2004 AA755 AND AA755L VEHICLES. CONTINUOUS OVERLOADING OR SIDE LOADING OF THE BOOMS COULD CAUSE THE LOWER BOOM TO CRACK NEAR THE LOWER BOOM PIVOT.
Consequence: CONTINUED USE COULD CAUSE THE BOOM TO FAIL, INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURY TO PEOPLE OR PROPERTY BELOW.
Remedy: ALTEC WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND PROVIDE AA BOOM STIFFENER KIT. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON APRIL 20, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT ALTEC AT 1-877-462-5832.
