The contact owns a 2025 Airstream Trade Wind RV. The contact stated that after arriving at his destination and inspecting the location where the trailer had previously been parked, the contact observed six fragmented pieces of multiple washers that showed signs of excessive corrosion. Further inspection revealed that the washers came from a Dexter lift kit that was meant to increase clearance. The RV was towed to the dealer, who had not provided a specific diagnosis, but replaced all bolts and washers for the Dexter lift kit. The RV was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The RV was towed back to the dealer and was diagnosed with a failure of the Dexter lift kit bolts and washers. The contact was informed that several of the washers were cracked. The RV was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,500.
