Defect: ADVENTURE IS RECALLING 5,750 MY 2003-2006 TIMBERLODGE, TREASURESHIP, RIVERSIDE, GLACIER AND CODY FIFTH WHEEL AND TRAVEL TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH A TWO-DOOR REFRIGERATOR MANUFACTURED BY THE DOMETIC CORPORATION. THE REFRIGERATOR MAY HAVE A DEFECT IN THE BOILER TUBE. PRESSURIZED COOLANT SOLUTION COULD BE RELEASED INTO AN AREA WHERE AN IGNITION SOURCE (GAS FLAME) IS PRESENT.
Consequence: RELEASE OF COOLANT UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS COULD IGNITE AND RESULT IN A FIRE.
Remedy: ADVENTURE WILL BE WORKING WITH DOMETIC TO REPAIR THESE REFRIGERATORS (PLEASE SEE 08E032). DOMETIC WILL REPAIR THESE REFRIGERATORS BY INSTALLING A SECONDARY BURN HOUSING, A THERMAL FUSE, AND A MELT FUSE FREE OF CHARGE. DOMETIC HAS RETAINED STERICYCLE INC. TO...

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 ADVENTURE 90FWS (NA). AFTER TAKING THE PULL BEHIND TRAILER TO THE DEALER FOR THE RECALL REPAIR, THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE FRACTURE HAD ALREADY OCCURRED. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT SHE NEEDED TO REPLACE OR REPAIR THE DEFECT. SHE DECIDED TO REPLACE THE UNIT BECAUSE IT WAS GOING TO COST ABOUT THE SAME AS REPAIRING THE UNIT. THIS IS A BED TRAILER; THEREFORE, THERE WAS NO ENGINE OR MILEAGE INFORMATION. THE RECALL NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN.
