TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: WARRANTY EXTENSISON CAMPAIGN: HEATING, VENTILATION, AND AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) BLOWER MOTOR FUSE RELOCATION (WTY037) - This bulletin has been revised to include additional information. New/revised sections of this bulletin are indicated by a black bar in the margin area. This bulletin provides information associated with the ‘Warranty Extension Program’ (WTY037) to inspect, and if necessary, relocate the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) blower motor 40-ampere fuse on certain 2021-2022MY K5 (DL3a) vehicles produced from March 27, 2020 through July 20, 2022. The HVAC system provides cooling and heating to help maintain a comfortable environment inside the vehicle. The blower motor provides primary airflow for the HVAC system. Extended use of the HVAC at high fan speeds may cause damage to the multi-fuse terminals for the HVAC blower motor circuit, which can cause the blower motor to become inoperative, resulting in reduced heat and air conditioning. The warranty coverage for repairs related to the HVAC blower motor have been extended from 5 years / 60,000 miles to 15 years / 180,000 miles, whichever comes first, starting from the date the vehicle was first put into service.
