Bulletin Summary
This Technical Service Bulletin was sent to dealers directing them upon customer complaint basis and after diagnosis, to replace the ignition coils of all cylinders with countermeasure parts when customers report a MIL illumination and a loss of engine power due to the vehicle being in fail safe mode. Unstable idling due to poor contact of the ignition coil terminal and DTC P030X may create this concern.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
