Bulletin Summary
Improper Secondary Parameter judgement criteria may cause false MIL illumination during 3rd Oxygen Sensor Monitoring (P0145). This TSB provides a field fix procedure to address false MIL illumination with DTC P0145 (Heated oxygen sensor (3rd) circuit slow response) stored in the ECM. This software update optimizes the judgement criteria to minimize false MIL illumination.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
