Bulletin Summary
Some 2022 2024 model year Tundra, Tundra Hybrid, and 2023 2024 model year Sequoia Hybrid vehicles, equipped with a JBL® premium sound system, may exhibit a rattle or buzz noise when listening to music coming from the subwoofer located in the rear left luggage area of the vehicle. This can be caused by exposure to certain operating environments with high humidity levels. To improve the subwoofer's performance in humid environments, Toyota has revised the speaker cone material and shape. The condition can be resolved by replacing the subwoofer assembly with box.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
