TSB: Some 2001 ? 2002 model year Sequoia vehicles may exhibit intermittent VSC activation. After the activation, Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) C1234 is stored in the skid control Electronic Control Unit (ECU) memory. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition. NOTE ? This Service Bulletin is ONLY applicable if DTC C1234 is present. If DTC C1234 is NOT present, this Service Bulletin is NOT applicable. ? The yaw rate sensor is available as a separate service part allowing it to be replaced separately instead of the entire yaw rate sensor assembly (Yaw Rate Sensor, Decel Sensor & Bracket). Ensure that the NEW service part number is ordered for the yaw rate sensor.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
