Bulletin Summary
Some 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with power folding mirrors built on or before 29-Apr-2025 may no longer have the ability to deactivate the auto-fold mirror operation from the menu located in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) message center. This may be due to the software in the driver door module (DDM) and passenger door module (PDM). Power folding mirror operation from the physical buttons are not affected by this condition. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in Q4 2026. Replacement or reprogramming of the accessory protocol interface module (APIM), DDM, or PDM will not resolve this condition. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
