Bulletin Summary
Some 2021-2024 Bronco vehicles built on or before 01-Jan-2025 equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine and 10R60 automatic transmission may exhibit diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, and P0304 and may be accompanied by a buck/jerk sensation while driving between 35-55 mph (56-89 km/h) in gears 7-10. If the condition remains after normal engine misfire diagnostics and associated repairs have been performed, the condition may be related to driveline torsional vibration induced by the rear wheels and/or rear axle assembly. The driveline torsional harmonics/vibrations are incorrectly identified by the misfire monitor as an engine misfire. Perform standard road force wheel balancing of all four tire and wheel assemblies and retest. If the condition continues to occur, replace the ring and pinion gearset in the rear axle. For claiming, use causal part 4209 and applicable labor operations found in Section 04 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
