Bulletin Summary
Some 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles with a hybrid powertrain, XL/XLT trim level and equipped with a 4 inch instrument panel cluster (IPC) display (minor feature code HCAAH) may exhibit a condition where the "Neutral tow mode enabled, leave the transmission in neutral" warning message will not clear from the IPC and the neutral "N" gear position will remain displayed on the PRNDL display if the customer deviates from the prescribed deactivation procedure. This may be due to the software in the IPC. To correct this condition, using Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool, download and run the "IPC-Instrument Panel Cluster Software Update" application. For claiming, use causal part 10849 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
