Bulletin Summary

Some 2023 F-Super Duty chassis cab vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an engine coolant temperature gauge reading at the high end of the normal range while towing in high ambient temperatures with no diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) or warning messages present in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may be due to the software in the IPC. To correct the condition, reprogram the IPC using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) diagnostic scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 10849 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

About Technical Service Bulletins

A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
