Some 2021 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine and built on 07-Jul-2021 and through 11-Jul-2021 may not properly complete powertrain control module (PCM) reprogramming or programmable module installation (PMI) resulting with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U029E. PCM reprogramming and/or PMI for vehicles in this build date range is not recommended at this time. Monitor OASIS broadcast messages for updates. A fix is expected before the end of February 2022.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
