Bulletin Summary
Some 2020-2022 F-Super Duty pickup vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine, 175 inch wheelbase, and built on or before 23-Sep-2021 may exhibit a thump/whine/knock noise from the midship fuel tank at idle or during key on, engine off (KOEO) after performing TSB 21-2057. The noise may be more pronounced at fuel levels at or below 1/4 tank. This may be due to the fuel pump. To correct the condition, replace the fuel pump and sender assembly with service part HC3Z-9H307-AP. For claiming, use causal part 9H307 and applicable labor operations in Section 08 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
