Bulletin Summary
Some 2019 Transit Connect vehicles built on 29-Mar-2018 and through 31-Aug-2018 and equipped with connected human machine interface (HMI) radio (CHR) and global navigation satellite system (GNSS), may exhibit the vehicle locator function not working on the FordPass mobile application. To correct this condition, perform as-built programming on the audio control module (ACM) and when asked 'were you sent here to obtain part numbers from another procedure?' select NO. This procedure will retrieve the updated as-built from the database and install it into the module. For claiming, use causal part 18C869 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
