Technical Service Bulletin SSM 49061 — 2015 FORD F-350 SD

Some 2015-2016 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with 6.7L Diesel engines may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P24A0 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This condition does not create drivability concerns and has no effect on vehicle operation or long-term durability. If the pinpoint test RC leads to an inconclusive direction, clear the DTCs with the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool and schedule a follow-up appointment for service in early November. Inform the customer that engineering is working to implement a solution for this condition and advise the customer that they can continue to drive the vehicle. Once the solution becomes available, contact the customer and confirm the service appointment is going forward. Monitor OASIS for updates.
