Bulletin Summary
Some 2018 Fusion Energi vehicles may exhibit remote functions that are inoperative and/or a no start condition when using remote start. This may be due to the vehicle being shut off while still in gear. When this occurs, the remote functions will not operate properly as the TCU is in a locked state. In some cases, the vehicle may not start when using remote start. To correct this condition reprogram the TCU using the appropriate Ford scan tool or equivalent release 110.03 or higher. Make sure you are connected to the internet when entering module programming to obtain the latest updates. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraftservice.com. For claiming, use causal part 14G229 and applicable labor operations in section 10 of the SLTS manual.
