Bulletin Summary

FREIGHTLINER: SOME TRUCKS HAVE BEEN FOUND WITH INCORRECT SEALING OF AIR INTAKE DUCT ASSEMBLIES, ALLOWING UNFILTERED AIR TO BYPASS THE AIR CLEANER. LOOSE DUCT CONNECTIONS OR DIRT FOUND IN THE DUCTING DURING A FILTER SERVICE INDICATE THAT DUCT CLAMPS SHOULD BE CHECKED, AND RUBBER SEALS ADDED WHERE NOT PRESENT. LOOSE DUCTING SHOULD BE THOROUGHLY INSPECTED FOR DAMAGE AND REPLACED IF NECESSARY. NO MODEL YEARS LISTED. *PE

About Technical Service Bulletins

A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
