Technical Service Bulletin S19ZD — 2018 BLUE BIRD VISION

Overview: Certain 2017 through 2019 model year Blue Bird Vision School and Non-School bus units NOT equipped with an optional fuel door interlock switch, manufactured from June 11, 2016, through April 07, 2018, will require the unused "optional" fuel door connector C212 terminal contacts be cleaned and installation of a sealed mating connector to prevent any future corrosion. Affected Units: The buses in your fleet that are affected by this Service Bulletin S19ZD are identified by Blue Bird Body Serial Number(s) on the enclosed cover sheet. Service Bulletin S19ZD will be mailed to all owners on record. Be sure to review your list and advise of any incorrect owner names and/or addresses. On the subject buses, the possibility exists for an engine No Crank condition. To correct this, it is necessary to clean the connector terminal contacts and install a sealed mating connector. Parts should be ordered through Blue Bird Service Parts to install the sealed mating connector. Repair Parts: The Parts List outlined in the S19ZD Instructions details the parts required to perform Service Bulletin S19ZD and should be ordered through Blue Bird Service Parts. Parts are anticipated to be available on or before June 24th. Time Allowance: Time allowed to clean the connector terminal contacts and install a sealed mating connector is 0.2 (12 minutes).
