This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have an aftermarket, add-on back up alarm will sound when unlocking the doors with the Remote Keyless Entry remote. Technician can correct this concern by turning off the perimeter lighting feature on vehicles with Driver Information Center controls or install an isolation relay in-line to the backup alarm.
