This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have an engine rattle noise on acceleration or intermittently a rough idle after a stop. Dealer should advise the customer this can be caused by fuel with an octane rating of less than 91. Dealer will advised the customer to review the 91 octane or higher Top Tier fuel as stated in the owner?s manual recommended fuel section.
