Bulletin Summary
This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that after installing a reman High Value V6 engine it has rough running, idle surge, misfire on one or both banks of the engine concern. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Codes P0300, P0011 and / or P0016. Technician will need to check the actual engine oil pressure. If oil pressure is within the specifications above, perform all testing listed in PIP4345A including a visual inspection of the camshaft position actuator filter and repair or replace as necessary. Technician will need to contact General Motors Technical Assistance Center for further assistance if the concern is still present.
