Bulletin Summary
This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician that after installing a re-manufactured High Feature V6 engine the vehicle may rough running, idle surge, Check Engine Lamp or Camshaft Position sensor actuator codes. Technician will need to record the actual engine oil pressure at idle and engine compression readings. Technician will need to perform all testing listed in PIP4345A, if oil pressure and compression readings are within specifications. Technician will need to contact General Motors Technical Assistance Center for further assistance if the concern is not isolated.
