Bulletin Summary
This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that the rain sense wipers are not working correctly or are inoperative. Technician will use the scantool to review Body Control Module data on the scan tool for the Wipers, the "Rain Sense Signal". If the data shows a value of "NoGlass", technician should check the windshield for being replaced with a non OEM. If the windshield is not original equipment manufacturer it should be replaced with a windshield from General Motors.
