Bulletin Summary
This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician on the Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning operation during a remote start event. For Impala and Monte Carlo 2006 and 2007 model year equipped with Regular Production Option Code C67 single zone. If the blower and mode are correct but the temperature is not correct please refer to current Technical Service Bulletin 07-01-38-002. It is also important to note that if the vehicle sits for less than three hours after key off, the Outside Air Temperature uses the last stored value which may be incorrect by the time you get back to the vehicle. This can effect Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning operation during remote start.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
