2011-2012 LEAF; 24 KWH TYPE 1 BATTERY PACK GASKET INSPECTION SERVICE INFORMATION When servicing a 24 kWh Type 1 battery pack, the gasket between the upper and lower cases should be reused/reinstalled, unless it is visually damaged and/or fails the air leak inspection. ï· Only replace the battery pack case gasket when necessary. ï· To confirm that the battery pack case is air tight, follow the 24 kWh Service Procedure Inspection instructions, for air leak inspection, starting on page 2. NOTE: This bulletin does not apply to service replacement battery packs that are sealed with a liquid urethane adhesive.
