Mercedes-Benz AG has determined that on certain MY 2023-2024 S-Class (223 platform) vehicles, the software of the powertrain control unit does not correspond to current production specifications. As a result, the driver may sense brief hesitation during a shift operation. MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will update the powertrain control unit software.
