Bulletin Summary

Customer Satisfaction Program. Due to the industry-wide semiconductor shortage, the front heated/ventilated seats, front heated seats, or rear heated seats are not functional on certain 2022 model year vehicles listed above, built beginning November 15, 2021. The affected vehicle owners should have been made aware of the condition at sale, and notified that once parts are available, they would be eligible for a no additional cost retrofit to enable the feature. Dealers are to replace the front and rear seat heater control modules, reprogram the body control module and on some vehicles, reprogram the HVAC control module. Note: Some vehicles may also require an additional retrofit of the Left and Right Front Seat Cushion Ventilation Blower in order to restore full functionality of the ventilated seats. Vehicles built with this condition can be identified by RPO 040. DO NOT replace the Left or Right Front Seat Cushion Ventilation Blower at this time.

About Technical Service Bulletins

A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
