Bulletin Summary
BMW Motorrad has ascertained that faulty washers [see (2) and (4) in the illustration] were fitted on the threaded fastener of the swinging-arm axle. The washers are too large (inside and outside diameters are 2 mm oversize). This can result in the threaded fastener not being sufficiently preloaded, however, it is not possible for the threaded fastener to work loose because the nut is self locking (captive).
