Bulletin Summary
SERVICE BULLETIN M1661: INSTRUMENT REFLASH TO ADDRESS WOW TEST CONCERN. PURPOSE: This bulletin informs the dealer network, that if the vehicle's speed displayed on the Instrument Module (IM) becomes stuck during the WOW, it will self-correct once the vehicle comes to a stop. Then the speed will display correctly once the vehicle is put back into motion. A reflash is available in Digital Technician II (DT II), software version (24.12.4) or later for the affected Instrument modules that exhibit the concern.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
