Bulletin Summary
This bulletin is to inform dealers of the steps to perform after performing the Touring and Trike Rear Shock absorber callback return. The shipping plug must be transferred from the new shock to the return shock. When oil is allowed to leak during the return process, the call-back issue cannot be properly diagnosed. Installing the plug in the return shock contains the oil in the shock during the shipment to the supplier. This information applies to 2014-2016 Touring and Trike models with rear air shock absorbers.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
