Bulletin Summary
Mercedes-Benz AG (?MBAG?), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain Model Year 2018-2019 C and E-Class vehicles (205/238 platforms), an incorrect activated carbon filter might have been installed. In this case, the vehicle may not meet emission and certification requirements. MBUSA will conduct a voluntary Emission Recall Campaign in which an authorized Mercedes- Benz dealer will check the activated carbon filter, and replace it, if necessary.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
