Bulletin Summary
Certain Santa Fe (MX5A) and Santa Fe Hybrid (MX5A HEV) vehicles may experience a discharged battery condition due to the Fingerprint Module (FPM) not entering 'SLEEP' mode when the ignition is turned off. Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) 26-01-015H and 26-01-016H provide instructions to perform a software update with revised logic for the FPM. *Over-the-Air (OTA): This update can also be conducted via OTA. The customer can complete on his/her own if he/she has an active subscription to Hyundai Bluelink. A visit to the dealership is not required. Deployment of the OTA to Bluelink customers is planned starting the week of 02/16/2026.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
