Bulletin Summary

Some 2022 – 2024 model year NX 250 and NX 350, and 2023 – 2024 model year RX 350 vehicles may exhibit both of the following conditions at vehicle startup: •A “Shift System Malfunction” message on the Multi-information Display (MID), as shown below. •Battery voltage drops below 10V. These conditions are more likely to occur when the outside temperatures are near freezing. The Engine Control Module (ECM) (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM) logic has been modified to reduce the possibility of these conditions.

About Technical Service Bulletins

A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
