Bulletin Summary

ISUZU PROVIDES OPTIONAL ENGINE BLOCK HEATERS AND OIL PAN HEATERS WHICH ARE DESIGNED TO WARM THE ENGINE COOLANT AND ENGINE OIL ENOUGH DURING EXTREME COLD TEMPERATURES TO ALLOW EASY STARTING. OIL GETS THICKER (MORE VISCOUS) AS IT GETS COLDER, WHICH SLOWS DOWN THE ENGINE CRANKING SPEED. TO ENSURE THAT THE ENGINE CAN TURN OVER FAST ENOUGH TO START WHEN PREVAILING TEMPERATURES DROP, USE THE RECOMMENDED VISCOSITY ENGINE OIL AS SET FORTH IN THE VEHICLE'S OWNER'S MANUAL.

About Technical Service Bulletins

A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
