Bulletin Summary

VIN: LJUEAEG24SK501115 Occurrence Date: August 26, 2025 Mileage: 9,689 km Location: Lotus Austin On August 26, 2025, a vehicle at Lotus Austin exhibited recurring DSA faults. These faults were initially recovered and erased but reappeared. Following TIS diagnostic procedures for the MVCM (DCDC), technicians confirmed proper voltages, ground, and CAN inbound signals, but found no outbound signal from the module. A cross-change of the MVCM was performed, but the DTC persisted, indicating the MVCM was not the root cause. The 48V SuperCapacitor connector was inspected and found to be secure with correct torque. Diagnostic Trouble Code B167D87 indicated a missing LIN signal from the 48V SuperCapacitor to the VCU. The issue is still under investigation, with possible causes including a functional issue with the 48V SuperCapacitor (low voltage) or a fault in the MVCM cables or connectors. Note: Due to the timing of the fault report, communications were sent in September despite the occurrence date being in August.

About Technical Service Bulletins

A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
