Bulletin Summary
09132D - Customer Satisfaction Program (revised expiration date). The power steering cooler line may leak or split when the vehicle is started in cold weather. This would result in fluid spotting under vehicle when the vehicle is parked and a decrease in power steering assist. If enough fluid were lost, damage to the power steering pump could occur. Dealers are to replace the power steering hose assembly or a length of hose and clamps, depending on the engine size.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
